about us

Dedicated meaningful Support & Care

At Evita Charitable Trust, we are dedicated to creating a meaningful impact in the lives of children with disabilities and their families. We also extend our support to foreign-national families dealing with unique challenges brought about by the unfortunate situation of bereavement.

Our practice and involvement in the lives of our clients are wholly guided by a deep understanding of how involving people in making choices about the things that happen in their lives improves their quality of life. As such, we put at the forefront of our practice, the choices and preferences of all people that we support. We also tailor our input to each individual’s capability level and never assume that one size could ever fit all.

Our

Our mission is to provide compassionate, person-centred support to children with disabilities and bereaved foreign-national families across South Yorkshire. We are committed to addressing the unique challenges these individuals face by offering tailored services that prioritise dignity, inclusion, and emotional wellbeing.

Our work is grounded in the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of ability, background, or circumstance. We offer practical support through respite care, therapeutic activities, advocacy, and community engagement. These services are designed in close collaboration with the families and individuals we support, ensuring that our work is responsive to their specific needs and aspirations.

For bereaved families, especially those navigating complex immigration systems or cultural displacement, we provide guidance, emotional support, and help accessing vital services. We recognise the added barriers faced by foreign-national families during times of loss and aim to walk alongside them with empathy and respect.

By fostering a safe, inclusive environment where people feel heard and supported, we work to reduce social isolation and promote resilience. Our team is driven by a deep commitment to making a meaningful difference, one family at a time.

Ultimately, our mission is to create a community where children with disabilities and bereaved families are not only supported but empowered. We aim to ensure that their rights are upheld, their voices are valued, and their contributions are recognised as vital to a stronger, more compassionate society.

Our

We are guided by a vision to contribute positively towards a society where children with disabilities and bereaved foreign-national families are fully included, supported, and empowered to lead fulfilling lives. Our vision is rooted in the belief that every person, regardless of ability, background, or personal loss, deserves access to the same opportunities, rights, and quality of care as anyone else.

We strive for a future where families facing disadvantage or grief do not have to struggle in silence or isolation. Instead, they are met with compassion, understanding, and practical help from services that reflect their lived experiences. We aim to build a more inclusive and responsive system of support that works for those who are often overlooked or underserved.

Our long-term vision is to reduce the stigma surrounding disability and bereavement in marginalised communities. We want to see local and national policies shaped by the voices of the people they affect, and we believe community-led approaches are essential to real, lasting change.

We imagine a world where children with disabilities grow up in environments that nurture their potential, where parents and carers feel supported, and where grieving families from foreign-national backgrounds find safety, dignity, and belonging.

Through our work, we hope to inspire a cultural shift that places care, equity, and respect at the heart of how we support one another. Our vision is not just about changing individual lives but also about building stronger, more compassionate communities for everyone.
